Or I could talk about Prodigy having a production facility literally 5 hours from my house but that I received a disc made in China. I could talk about Chinese human rights violations. There are myriad reasons why that's a totally unacceptable product to receive. "Made in China." Obviously, that's disappointing. Cannot double check on the site or through received emails to ensure I put mids. I ordered mid weights and didn't get a disc below 174g, and even received a 178g mid. It is a "mystery" box and there are no guarantees. Don't like the shirt much, but not disappointed. Got a nylon collared "Prodigy" shirt and a camping coffee mug with a "Distortion" and "Prodigy" logo on it. Packaged very well! Thanks for those 2 huge "goods."

Meanwhile, both Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Lower Decks have been renewed for new seasons, and a new series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is also in the works. The cancelation of Prodigy follows the end of Star Trek: Picard with its third season, and the announcement that Star Trek: Discovery would end with its fifth season.
Such a fate could await Star Trek: Prodigy. Discovery similarly canceled the animated Batman: Caped Crusader while selling it to other outlets it was eventually picked up by Prime Video.
Work on the announced second season of Star Trek: Prodigy will be completed by CBS Studios, which will then be free to try to sell it to other outlets - marking a shift in Paramount’s attitude towards Star Trek as a franchise, with a previous selling point for Paramount+ being that all Trek was available on the platform. A Paramount spokesperson is quoted as saying that the streamer “want to extend our thanks to our temendosly talented cast and crew and our producing partners for their passionate work and dedication on these programs, and we wish them all the best on their future endeavors.” Variety reports that Prodigy, alongside Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Queen of the Universe, and The Game have all been dropped by the streamer, and will be removed ahead of the relaunch of Paramount+ as Paramount+ with Showtime on June 27. Star Trek: Prodigy, the animated Trek series co-produced with Nickelodeon, is amongst four shows that have been canceled by Paramount+, and are due to be removed from the streaming service in the next few days.
